§ 9 InsO (insolvency announcements)

German statutory rule on public announcements in insolvency proceedings. Requires opening decisions and case acts to be published on insolvenzbekanntmachungen.de.

§ 9 of the German Insolvency Code (InsO) is the legal basis for public announcements in insolvency proceedings. It requires acts to be published in a central, cross-state electronic system — concretely on insolvenzbekanntmachungen.de.

Published in particular: court security measures (§ 21 InsO), the opening decision (§ 27 InsO), revocation or discontinuation (§ 200 InsO) and final distribution. The announcement is legally binding — deadlines start running from the publication date.

For buyers, § 9 InsO is the only legally binding primary source. All private data providers (Insolvenz-Radar, InsolvenzIndex, Übernahme-Radar) aggregate these notices and enrich them with further sources.
