The Gazette is the UK's official public record and publishes every corporate insolvency and winding-up notice as a machine-readable feed; Companies House supplies the SIC industry code and registered office behind each one. Not every notice states whether a voluntary winding-up is a members' (solvent) or creditors' (insolvent) liquidation, so each UK company page shows what the notice itself says, not an assumption.

- Directly from The Gazette / Companies House. We publish nothing that is not already public there, and the source is credited on every UK company page.
- How many UK notices does Emptera cover?
- 8,579 companies with a notice on file; covering 2026-08-04 to 2026-10-26; 2,678 added in the last 30 days.
- Does every notice mean the company is insolvent?
- No. Administration and receivership do, and most liquidations do — but a voluntary winding-up resolution does not always state whether it is a members' (solvent) or creditors' (insolvent) liquidation. Where the notice does not say, this site shows the notice as filed rather than assuming either answer; the exact wording is on each company's own page.
- How often is this updated?
- Daily. Emptera re-reads The Gazette on a schedule, so a new notice appears the day it is published.
- Does Emptera publish personal data about UK business owners?
- No. Sole traders and other natural persons are filtered out before anything is published — we index companies, not people. Company data (legal name, registration number, registered office) is legal-entity information and outside the scope of the GDPR under Recital 14.
